Cisco Catalyst MPLS packet denial of service
| cisco-catalyst-mpls-dos (32748) |
Description:
Cisco Catalyst 6000, 6500, and 7600 series switches running in Hybrid Mode or with Cisco IOS Software Modularity are vulnerable to a denial of service caused by improper handling of Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) packets. A remote attacker with access to the local network segment could exploit this vulnerability by sending specially-crafted MPLS packets to cause the device to reset, resulting in a denial of service.
