Netrek Vanilla Server vsprintf format string
| vanilla-vsprintf-format-string (32777) |
Description:
Netrek Vanilla Server could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by a format string vulnerability in the vsprintf function. If EVENTLOG=1 in etc/sysdef server configuration, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially-crafted argument containing malicious format string specifiers, which would allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands or cause the server to crash.
