Conquest metaGetServerList() buffer overflow
| conquest-metagetserverlist-bo (32849) |
Description:
Conquest is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the metaGetServerList() function in meta.c. By sending a specially-crafted request from a malicious server, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash, if the attacker could convince the victim to connect to a malicious server.
