X MultiMedia System (xmms) skin bitmap image buffer overflow
| xmms-skinbitmap-bo (33203) |
Description:
X MultiMedia System (xmms) is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by an integer underflow. By creating a specially-crafted skin bitmap image file with a malicious header, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system, if the attacker could persuade the victim to view the malicious image file.
