IBM AIX drmgr command buffer overflow
| ibmaix-drmgr-bo (33354) |
Description:
IBM AIX is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the drmgr command. By sending a specially-crafted drmgr command with an overly long path name, a local attacker could overflow a buffer to cause a core dump and execute arbitrary commands on the system with root privileges.
