MIT Kerberos administration daemon (kadmind) GSS-API library code execution
| kerberos-kadmind-code-execution (33413) |
Description:
The MIT Kerberos administration daemon (kadmind) could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a double free memory corruption vulnerability in the kg_unseal_v1() function in src/lib/gssapi/krb5/k5unseal.c, which is part of the GSS-API library. A remote authenticated attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a specially crafted Kerberos message to execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges or cause the affected application to crash.
