X.Org X11 fonts.dir buffer overflow
| xorg-fontsdir-bo (33419) |
Description:
X.Org X11 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by an integer overflow vulnerability in the parsing of the fonts.dir font information file. By creating a specially-crafted fonts.dir font information file and persuading a victim to open the file, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with ROOT privileges or cause the system to crash.
