X.Org XC-MISC extension integer overflow
| xorg-xcmisc-overflow (33424) |
Description:
X.Org is vulnerable to an integer overflow, caused by the improper validation of input by the ProcXCMiscGetXIDList() function of the XC-MISC extension, which could lead to memory corruption. By passing specially-crafted values, a local attacker with access to the console could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with ROOT privileges or cause the system to crash.
