Second Sight ActiveGS ActiveX control slot buffer overflow
| activegs-slot-bo (33759) |
Description:
The Second Sight ActiveGS ActiveX control is vulnerable to an unspecified stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking through the Slot51, Slot52, Slot61, Slot62, Slot7, Slot71, and Slot72 parameters. By creating a specially-crafted Web page, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system, if the attacker could persuade the victim to visit the malicious site and enable the ActiveX control.
