GIMP SUNRAS plugin buffer overflow
| gimp-sunras-plugin-bo (33911) |
Description:
GIMP is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the set_color_table in the SUNRAS plugin. By creating a specially-crafted .RAS file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash, if the attacker could persuade the victim to open the malicious file.
