Description:

Phorum is vulnerable to SQL injection. A remote attacker could send specially-crafted SQL statements to the pm.php script, the badwords, banlist or groups module in the admin.php script or the edit groups and add group field using various parameters, which could allow the attacker to view, add, modify or delete information in the back-end database.

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of Phorum (5.1.22 or later), available from the Phorum Web site. See References.
