Microsoft Visio version number code execution
| visio-version-code-execution (34607) |
Description:
Microsoft Visio could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by improper validation of the version number field in a Visio (.VSD, VSS, or .VST) file. By persuading a victim to open a Visio file containing a specially-crafted version field, a remote attacker could corrupt memory and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by hosting the file on a Web site or sending it to the victim as an email attachment.
