Description:

Invision Power Board (IP.Board) is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the module_bbcodeloader.php, module_div.php, module_email.php, module_image.php, module_link.php or module_table.php script. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using the editorid parameter in a specially-crafted URL to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the URL is clicked. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

Upgrade to the latest patched version of Invision Power Board (2.20 May 30, 2007 or later), available from the Invision Power Board Forums Web site. See References.
