Description:

WordPress is vulnerable to SQL injection. A remote attacker could send specially-crafted SQL statements to the xmlrpc.php script using the login fields, which could allow the attacker to view, add, modify or delete information in the back-end database.

Platforms Affected:

  • OpenPKG, OpenPKG CURRENT
  • WordPress, WordPress 2.2

Remedy:

Upgrade to the latest version of WordPress (2.2.1 or later), available from the WordPress Web site. See References.
