Linux kernel sctp_new() function denial of service
| kernel-sctpnew-dos (34777) |
Description:
Linux kernel is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a NULL pointer dereference in the sctp_new() function when handling new SCTP connections with an unknown chunk type. By sending a specially-crafted SCTP packet, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to crash the kernel.
