Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) and Kolab Server RAR file security bypass
| clamav-rar-security-bypass (34823) |
Description:
Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) and Kolab Server could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by a vulnerability in the parsing engine. By sending a specially-crafted RAR file to a vulnerable system, a remote attacker could bypass scanning detection and possibly execute arbitrary code on the system, once the file is processed.
