TBarCode ActiveX control SaveImage command execution

Description:
The TBarCode ActiveX control (TBarCode7.ocx) could allow a remote attacker to execute commands on the system, caused by a vulnerability in the SaveImage function. By creating a specially-crafted Web page, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to delete arbitrary files on the system, including the system.ini file, once the page is opened and the ActiveX control is enabled.

Upgrade to the latest version of TBarCode ActiveX control (8 or later), available from the TBarCode ActiveX control Web site. See References.
Per the vendor, the TBarCode8 ActiveX Control is now site-locked. By default only web-sites from the Internet Explorer zones "local machine", "trusted sites" and "local intranet" are able to use the complete functionality.
