Firebird fbserver.exe buffer overflow
| firebird-fbserver-bo (34833) |
Description:
Firebird is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the fbserver.exe service. By sending a specially-crafted connect request with a large p_cnct_count value to TCP port 3050, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
