QVT FTP server login overflow denial of service

Description:
The FTP server that ships with the QVC suites, developed by QPC is vulnerable to a denial of service caused by a buffer overflow in the login function. A remote attacker can send a username or password pair that contains over 2000 characters, and then reconnect to the server, to overflow a buffer and crash the FTP server. The server must be restarted to regain functionality.
