Ingres Database Server Communications Server (iigcc.exe) buffer overflow
| ingres-communications-server-bo (34991) |
Description:
Ingres Database Server, which is included in multiple CA (Computer Associates) products, is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the Communications Server (iigcc.exe) and Data Access Server (iigcd.exe) component. By sending a specially-crafted TCP request, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with SYSTEM privileges.
