Apple Mac OS X XMLHttpRequest HTTP header injection
| macos-xmlhttprequest-header-injection (35017) |
Description:
Apple Mac OS X is vulnerable to header injection, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by headers passed to the XMLHttpRequest. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web page, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to inject arbitrary HTTP requests, which will allow the attacker to conduct various attacks against the vulnerable system, including cross-site scripting, cache poisoning or session hijacking.
Platforms Affected:
- Apple, iPhone 1.0
- Apple, Mac OS X 10.3.9
- Apple, Mac OS X 10.4.9
- Apple, Mac OS X Server 10.3.9
