MIT Kerberos rename_principal_2_svc buffer overflow

kerberos-renameprincipal2svc-bo (35080) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

Kerberos is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the kadmind server's rename_principal_2_svc function. By sending a specially-crafted request to rename principals, an authenticated remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
