Description:
HP TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information. The POP server returns different error messages depending on whether a valid username has been entered. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to enumerate valid usernames and perform dictionary or brute force attacks and possibly gain unauthorized access to the service.
