| symantec-backupexec-rpc-bo (35340) |
Description:
Symantec Backup Exec (JP1/VERITAS Backup Exec) is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the RPC server. By sending a specially-crafted RPC request, an authenticated remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the service to crash.
