Description:

Apple QuickTime could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a design error in QuickTime for Java. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site containing a malicious Java applet, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability and bypass security restrictions to read or write process memory and execute arbitrary code on the victim's system with the privileges of the user. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending the malicious file as an email attachment or hosting it on a Web site.
