Asterisk IAX2 channel driver buffer overflow
| asterisk-iax2channeldriver-bo (35466) |
Description:
Asterisk is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by IAX2 channel driver. By sending a specially-crafted RTP frame with an overly large data payload, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
Note: In order to exploit this vulnerability, the system must be configured for connection between channels that use RTP and IAX channels.
