Description:
Norman Virus Control is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a divide-by-zero error in the file parsing engine. By persuading a victim to scan a specially-crafted DOC file, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Norman Virus Control (5.91.02 or later), available from the Automatic Update service. See References.
