Description:

The default Gentoo configuration of Festival could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges, caused by the daemon running as a root user and listening on the localhost for commands without using a password. By connecting to the daemon, a local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary commands on the vulnerable system with root privileges.
