IBM AIX pioout -R code execution

Description:
IBM AIX could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a vulnerability in the pioout program. By loading a specially-crafted shared library using the -R command, a local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.

Remedy:
Apply the interim fix for this vulnerability (pioout_ifix.tar.Z), available from the IBM AIX FTP site. See References.
