gMotor2 IDs buffer overflow
| gmotor-ids-bo (36093) |
Description:
The gMotor2 engine and multiple games implementing the affected engine, including rFactor, are vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by the improper handling of data packets with IDs equal to 0x80 or 0x88. By sending a specially-crafted package, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
