Description:

IBM DB2 could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by format string vulnerability that exists when creating directories. By sending a localized message file containing specially-crafted format specifiers using the OSSEMEMDBG or TRC_LOG_FILE environment variable in db2licd, a local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
