Kerberos kadmind svcauth_gss_validate buffer overflow

kerberos-svcauthgssvalidate-bo (36437) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

Kerberos and applications implementing the Kerberos RPC library are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the svcauth_gss_validate function in the MIT krb5 Kerberos administration daemon (kadmind) RPC library. By sending a specially-crafted RPC authentication context message containing an overly long string, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and cause the daemon to crash or execute arbitrary code on the system.
