OpenOffice.org TIFF file buffer overflow

openoffice-tiff-bo (36656) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

OpenOffice.org is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by multiple integer overflow errors when processing TIFF directory entries for certain tags. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted TIFF file, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the user.
