WinImage IMG or ISO files directory traversal
| winimage-imgiso-directory-traversal (36663) |
Description:
WinImage could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system, caused by improper validation of extracted IMG or ISO files. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted IMG or ISO file containing "dot dot" sequences (/../) in the filename, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to traverse directories and extract files to arbitrary locations on the system.
