Description:

WinImage is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by the improper handling of the FAT image header. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted .IMG file with a modified FAT header, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the application to enter into an infinite loop, resulting in a denial of service.

Platforms Affected:

  • Gilles Vollant Software, WinImage 8.10 and prior
