modbus-tcpslave-bo (36677) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

The Automated Solutions Modbus TCP Slave ActiveX control is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the Modbus/TCP Diagnostic function (FC8). By sending a specially-crafted Modbus request to TCP port 502, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim running the MiniHMI.exe application or cause a denial of service.
