Lhaplus ARJ archive buffer overflow

Description:
Lhaplus is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of the ARJ archives. By sending a specially-crafted ARJ archive containing an overly long filename, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
Platforms Affected:
- Lhaplus, Lhaplus 1.53 and prior

Upgrade to the latest version of Lhaplus (1.55 or later), available from the Lhaplus Web page. See References.
