Description:

Ask.com Toolbar is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the AskJeevesToolBar.SettingsPlugin.1 ActiveX control. By sending a specially-crafted request with an overly long ShortFormat value, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the browser to crash.
