Description:
Computer Associates (CA) BrightStor Hierarchical Storage Manager is vulnerable to multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the CsAgent service. By sending a specially-crafted CsAgent command, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with SYSTEM privileges or cause a denial of service.

Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of BrightStor Hierarchical Storage Manager (r11.6 or later), available from the CA SupportConnect Web site. See References.
