Cisco Catalyst 6500 and Cisco 7600 loopback address ACL bypass
| cisco-catalyst-loopback-acl-bypass (36826) |
Description:
A design error in Cisco Catalyst 6500 and Cisco 7600 could allow a remote attacker from within the local network to bypass access control lists. The Supervisor module, Multilayer Switch Feature Card (MSFC), and other intelligent modules receive and process unfiltered packets from loopback addresses. If the system is running Hybrid Mode and Native Mode, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass access control lists.
