Description:

SmbFTPD could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands, caused by a format string vulnerability in the SMBDirList function in dirlist.c. A remote attacker with a valid user account could exploit this vulnerability by listing a specially-crafted filename, which would allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on vulnerable client systems.

Upgrade to the latest version of SmbFTPD (0.97 or later), available from the twbsd Web site. See References.
