Description:
The CyberLink PowerDVD CLAVSetting.CLSetting.1 ActiveX control (CLAVSetting.dll) could allow a remote attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the system, caused by insecure use of the CreateNewFile() method. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability using directory traversal techniques to overwrite and corrupt arbitrary files on the system.
