Description:
Multiple Computer Associates (CA) BrightStor ARCserve backup products are vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the Message Engine service and the Ascore.dll component. By sending a specially-crafted RPC request, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with SYSTEM privileges.
