Description:
Multiple Computer Associates (CA) BrightStor ARCserve backup products are vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the RPC Engine service and the rpcx.dll component. By sending a specially-crafted RPC request, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with SYSTEM privileges.
