Description:

HPLIP could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the system, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the hpssd daemon. A remote attacker could send specially-crafted data in a popen3() call containing shell metacharacters to inject and execute shell commands on the system with root privileges.
