Caldera (SCO) UnixWare buffer overflow in Xsco command

Description:
SCO UnixWare contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Xsco command. Due to improper bounds checking, a lengthy argument (argv[1]) will overflow the buffer. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to gain superuser privileges.
Platforms Affected:
- SCO, SCO UnixWare 7.0.0
Remedy:
Obtain the System Security Enhancement (SSE) patch, SSE050b, as listed in SCO Security Bulletin 1999.26. The SSE patch is also available on the SCO Security Web page. See References.
