Mozilla Firefox and SeaMonkey sftp: URI unauthorized file access
| mozilla-sftp-file-access (37287) |
Description:
Mozilla Firefox and SeaMonkey, when installed on Linux systems with gnome-vfs support, could allow a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information, caused by improper handling of sftp: URIs. If an attacker could persuade a victim to visit a specially-crafted page located on a server to which both the victim and attacker have access, the attacker could read any file on that system that is owned by the victim.
Note: In order to exploit this vulnerability, the attacker would need limited write access to the targeted system.
