Cisco Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) denial of service
| cisco-eap-dos (37300) |
Description:
Multiple Cisco devices running certain versions of Cisco IOS and Cisco CatOS are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error in the Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) implementation. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted EAP Response Identity packet to cause an affected device to reload, resulting in a denial of service.
