IPSwitch IMail Server IMail Client buffer overflow

Description:
IPSwitch IMail Server is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the IMail client. By sending a specially-crafted email message containing multipart MIME data using an overly long boundary parameter, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the server to crash.
Platforms Affected:

- Ipswitch, Ipswitch IM Server prior to 2.07
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of IPSwitch Imail Server (2006.23 or later), available from the 2006.23 Web site. See References.
