Firefly Media Server ws_decodepassword() denial of service

Description:
Firefly Media Server (previously known as Multi-Threaded DAAP Daemon - mt-daapd) is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by a NULL pointer dereference in the ws_decodepassword() function. A remote attacker could send a specially-crafted HTTP GET request to cause the application to crash.
Platforms Affected:
- Firefly Media Server, Firefly Media Server 0.2.4 and prior
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of Firefly Media Server (mt-daapd) (0.2.4.1 or later), available from the FireFly Media Server Web site. See References.
